"Room was fine and beds were comfy"

"We received a warm welcome when we checked in. Our room was spotless and had quality bed/bedding etc. Also had a spacious, well appointed bathroom. We had an excellent night's sleep. We enjoyed dinner and breakfast here. All the food was first class and everyone who served us was very pleasant and helpful. Would definitely recommend this hotel."

"We stayed at Woodhall hotel and spa for 4 nights in the lodges. There was not much natural light entering the room and noise can be heard from the adjoining room The building could do with some refurbishment The views and gardens are beautiful The staff were really excellent and nothing was too much trouble The food was equally good with some fabulous combinations and flavours and, they have an interesting wine list, if slightly on the pricey side. Overall we enjoyed our stay. Thank you"

"Great parking,fast check-in with very friendly, helpful knowledgeable staff. The breakfast menu is superb with fast efficient service. The rooms are clean, and the bed is super comfy and serviced daily and has tea/ coffee making facilities and biscuits. The bathroom has a large shower with soap and shower gel supplied. We look forward to our next visit."

"Very nice staff, very clean room, nice clean bathroom nice shower over the bath plenty of hot water good water pressure, 2 small bottles of shampoo and body wash and a small bar of soap towels provided. Nice room with desk and chairs the bed was comfortable. Not enough power points to charge your phone/laptop/watch no USB points especially difficult if two people have items to charge at the same time maybe bring an extension lead/plug. Car parking is charged and expensive especially if staying...

"Disappointing one night stop over. Its more of a business traveller, conference & private events venue than a country house hotel. Suite 15 is directly opposite the kitchen extractor fan which is on from before 5.00am until the kitchen closes at night & can easily be heard in the room. The room only had one bedside table & lamp, the glazed entrance is fitted with opaque glass & is the only window so there is no view. If you could see out you would be looking at the car park. "We couldn't have chosen a better hotel for our reunion after over 30 years of leaving school. A couple of us decided to celebrate ourselves and our longstanding friendship at York. All the staff of Delta Hotels were professional and very helpful."

"Impressive building with lovely grounds; however unfortunately our room did not live up to the same standard with wine bottles & beer cans left at the door on entry, along with the odour from the previous guests takeaway. Thankfully the staff were able to accommodate a different room for our stay, but it is worth noting the rooms both shared a rather tired appearance and we left a little deflated bearing in mind the room rate."
