The food at kukui restaurant was great. The staff were very helpful and the concierge helped me plan out my week to my requirements. "Beautiful resort. Great buffet breakfast. The basic room, for $1,000 a night (including taxes and resort fees) was really a basic room, and not worth the money. It was nice it had two sinks, but had wear on the room. Very nice, helpful staff everywhere. We did valet parking for $40 a day. It was nice. Our room did not have a beach view, I don't know how much more that would have cost?"

"Front desk staff was rude at check in, we were given the wrong room, the property is so old the air conditioners and front door were completely rusted out, and the cottage rooms are right next to a huge public park right out the windows and front door. "

"Don't waste your money and time at this Outrigger - terrible beach (definitely no swimming). Rooms are dated and staff are not very friendly/helpful. Restaurants: nothing to write home about but very expensive. Note: they charge a RESORT FEE and PARKING FEES. Resort fee for what??? Plus you can only park in their pay parking lot - no other choice. Terrible location "

"Extremely friendly and responsive staff. Well maintained rooms, pools and grounds. Food, drink and marketplace offer delicious and thoughtful options. Fantastic location for all you’d want to do in Kauai, but you could also stay and never need to leave the property. "Room was immaculate and exactly what was advertised. Property is incredible in every way. We already put money down for our next stay. Resort isn’t cheap but has everything you could want available. It’s a very very steep path to the nearby beach, but it’s well worth it."

"Beautiful view, very quiet. Felt like only ones there. Rooms are a bit small but sufficient. Note we booked here as they had a restaurant but when we checked in we were notified it was closed for renovations and has been a long time. Very disappointed it was not noted on their website. "

"Room was clean and the ocean view was excellent! Wi-Fi worked fine. The extra free amenities were very nice like the bike rentals, mini-cooler, ice, and nice thick beach towels. Swimming pool was very nice with a decorative waterfall. Across the bike bath was a small sand beach but nice. A homeless couple were living in some bushes and trees across from the hotel but were hidden from view. Overall, I would stay at this hotel again ."
