"We stayed here at the end of our trip and it was the perfect place to relax, enjoy the beautiful scenery and listen to the sounds of the surf and birds. Seth, Nuala and David all made a point of stopping by to see how we were settling in and it was lovely to read the history behind the creation of the villas. Cannot recommend this place enough - would still be there if we could ☺️"

"Room was clean and a relatively good size. Not as sound proof as some other hotels we’ve stayed at but noise only came from corridor and other doors closing. Great situation though as easy walk to supermarket and city centre."

"Very nice modern hotel but our room was cold, I turned up the thermostat but didn’t make any difference until I tuned it to 24o, I’m not sure if it’s controlled by reception? bar staff were lovely and there was 50+ booked for dinner, there were no reserve signs on the tables apart from the birthdays being held so we nearly ran out of seats, but overall it was a lovely stay."

"Grounds are immaculate. Great view of the bush/river. Comfy bed. Good water pressure. Manager was fantastic. Good location (7 mins from New Plymouth by car). Quiet, safe. Can bike safely to New Plymouth ( sidewalk to round about on state highway 3 then side street with on road cycle path). Restaurant with yummy food on site. Things that could be better: Had only one BBQ so you need to reserve it in advance. Great stay and definitely a place I would go back. "

"Great central location in the centre of the city. Room was clean but just a few little things that would make all the difference - kids handprints in the mirror, fittings on the spa bath a bit old/discolored, toilet seat hand-modified to fit. Not majors but just makes it feel a little bit less than an excellent experience for the price paid. Staff were lovely and room was very adequate for our weekend stay. Probably best avoided if you can't handle inner city noise, cars, Saturday night...

"Modern and well situated"

"Love the location of the hotel and the complimentary bike ride is definitely a plus point for us to explore the coastal walkway and the city. Having a sauna at the end of the day is just the perfect way to wind down and relax."
