Comfy but limited amenities provision

Stay was simple as it was only a single-night stay. It was an apartment-like hotel but we got fairly disappointed that lots of amenities were not found within the unit. Website published the provision of plenty of amenities. However, we had to request for very basic amenities such as toilet hand soap/hand wash! We were even informed that toothbrushes are not provided. It would be fine if toothbrush kit are not provided if is an serviced apartment style accom but the accom publicise itself as a hotel. To have unavailability of basic amenities sounds below expectation. In the end, we were provided with bar soaps for hand washing and toothbrushes were in fact available as well. I suppose the staff needs to be better equipped with their product knowledge in answering to guests’ inquiry as misinformation and miscomm were our biggest disappointing aspect of the experience. Nonetheless, the whole unit was very clean and comfortable to be in for a short stay. It was in fact too large when we booked for stay for 4 (2A2C). The living room kitchenette dining area was really spacious, to our surprise. Overall, we still enjoyed our stay and would not mind to be back again. This time round, we will know what we need to pack when we were to stay with them again.

It was a short one day stay and we were surprised with the room size and cleanliness. Check in was a breeze. Breakfast could have a better spread and location requires a transport to reach. Otherwise, a very good value hotel. Recommended.

Not worth, don't visit

The hotel is full of renovation smell and hard to fell asleep. On the spot got additional hidden city tax also, which I thought should have been charged when I book. Hotel.com doesn't allow me to post the specific city tax amount

Comparinh to how it was before Covid when it was Somerset, the condition has gone downhill, things like - air-conditioning not cold - stinky towels - yellow stains on some fabric stuffs - stinky blankets - kitchen tap almost coming off from the sink

Serviceable apartment. Would come back.

Very big space for our family. Reception was extremely responsive. Requests for towels and toilet paper were met within 15 minutes or less. Cleanliness is serviceable and decent - e.g. sheets are not pristine white but they clearly have been cleaned. Toilet floor is dry and clean but one or two spots in the bowl. Breakfast buffet was good for the price. Only downside was we arrived after 3pm but wasn't able to check in till after 4.30pm as the room was still being cleaned. Overall, would go back again.

Sunday Stay

Not a pleasant stay. Checkin night time and left room to look for dinner, we came back to the room it was almost midnight, found stains on the bedsheet, pillow cases and blanket, bed linen show sigh of yellowish, pretty disgusting, it was late, no chance to call house cleaning to change it. We hv requested but front desk said room don’t provide hand towel and floor rug. Staying at 3rd floor, In the morning get to hear Lorry engine on n off for hours!

Fine for a quick stay, but needs improvement

The Trinidad Suites are at the lower end of a 3-star rating. Whereas the facilities are serviceable and the staff friendly and helpful, the property needs quite a bit more upkeep. Small attention to details will go a long way; for instance.... at the pool, tighten up the wobbly ladder, clean the glass at the edge of the infinity pool so that swimmers can enjoy a view of the harbour rather than look at foggy stained windows, and maintain an adequate supply of towels... at the dining area, if you want your patrons to enjoy an open air breakfast with a nice view, don't leave bags of dirt piled up by the windows leftover from some terrace landscaping job that's probably taking longer than necessary to complete... in the lift lobbies, clean up the facades of the utility closets so that guests don't feel like they've entered a work zone on the way to their rooms... in the rooms, make sure toilet seats aren't yellowing and falling apart, and clean the aircon units so that the air is not so musty. Overall, the hotel will be fine for a 1 or 2 night stay, but it's already suffering from a lack of care and you definitely feel it.
