Location is good, it's directly opposite the R&F Mall. There's a linkway from CIQ complex, we couldn't find it at first as there's no proper signage, about 15 mins walk. Basic but clean hotel. Stained towels but they replaced them when we requested. Good for overnight stay.

Opposite a big mall. Local food at cowboy town just behind hotel. Intersection of 2 major roads, may be noisy. Breakfast at top floor of hotel with view and dust of traffic. Overall is good.

There is a skybridge leading both to JB Sentral and City Square and to a further large mall directly opposite; this is very convenient since you can avoid all traffic. The breakfast was simple but more than adequate. Rooms were in good condition although it's surprising that the electronic key card doesn't connect with the air-con; if guests are not aware of that then they could go out of the room leaving the air-con on all day. I was disappointed that, on one day, even though I had been outside for many hours, the room was not serviced by the time I came back. There were three receptionists, two of whom were friendly and helpful. One, however, could barely communicate and had to be greeted twice before he responded rather than simply staring blankly, which is not good customer service.

Was given a room on the 3rd floor and immediately out of the elevator could smell strong smoke odour. Went into the bedroom and couldn't stand the smell of disguised smoke. Went back downstairs and asked if there were no smoking rooms and was given a room on ground floor. This ground floor room had an odour but at least it wasnt of smoke and was ok to stay for a single night.

A hotel for a day stay

The hotel is decent for its price. Breakfast was not good. The parking guys were really unfriendly.

The previous stays in this hotel were better. This recent stay had a scare in the middle of the night as the bathroom had no water supply for shower and for the tap. After quite some time, the water then returned after a hotel staff looked into it but had to wait again for the water to run as the water turned yellow.

Pleasant stay

The room is not too bad for the price we are paying. Room is clean and acceptable. Breakfast spread is really very, very simple, but the mee goreng is spicy and yummy. As for location, you definitely need a car to get to this place.

Overall room was good just that there are some missing things that can be improve such as shower curtain, extra rubbish bin, bath room door unable to lock. No cabinet for clothing.

We stayed for 2 nights at the Grand Jade and we already decided we would stay again when in Johor; the immigration complex and the city square are within walking distance, the bus going to the restaurants in Stulang Laut passess right in front of the hotel and convenience stores, a coffee shop and basic restaurants are just steps away. There's a shopping complex being constructed across the road, which is a bonus. Employees are very courteous, ready to assist anytime, room is clean, spacious with modern bathroom. Decoration is minimal which I liked. Breakfast is basic but is a lot better than other free breakfasts offered by other hotels. Overall, it was an amazing experience being at the Grand Jade.

I'm overall, everything is above expectations. It's with breakfast and hair dryer is available. I like the bathroom, the shower head is so good! Only a bit disappointed about no mini bar/ mini fridge in the room

There was some delay in check in but not a big deal. Hotel room is cozy and clean. But wifi is lacking. Good for a weekend stay over if you are looking for a place near City Square
