"I have stayed at The Devon several times and although I was given a deluxe suite the room I was allocated didn’t get any sun at all which made my longer stay not as pleasant as previous times I’ve stayed there. The breakfast selection is fantastic and convenient. If I choose to stay again, I would definitely request a room that wasn’t dark and void of sunshine, especially during the winter months! "I love this place. I've stayed there 3 times now and will stay there every time I go to New Plymouth in the future. It's priced better than a lot of places but it's really comfortable and has a nice feel."

"Grounds are immaculate. Great view of the bush/river. Comfy bed. Good water pressure. Manager was fantastic. Good location (7 mins from New Plymouth by car). Quiet, safe. Can bike safely to New Plymouth ( sidewalk to round about on state highway 3 then side street with on road cycle path). Restaurant with yummy food on site. Things that could be better: Had only one BBQ so you need to reserve it in advance. Great stay and definitely a place I would go back. "
