"Upon entering, the room smelt strongly of mould and damp. There was mould all over the bedroom window and the smell also came from the bathroom. The bathroom door latch didn't work, so the door didn't stay closed. The bathroom extractor fan is caked with dust, the bath looks like it hadn't been cleaned, the panel looks incomplete and the grouting is mouldy in the shower. "Firstly I booked through expedia who I thought would be competitive, however I paid £70 more than apparently booking direct as got an invoice pushed through my door on the morning of checkout - they said the I paid £70 more because I booked through expedia and that was their commission. The hotel was perfect location, but very dated and old fashioned. The bar was expensive and the spa area was massively overpriced for what it was"

"The hotel interior is a bit tired and out of date and generally could benefit from a modern refit. However, the rooms are clean and comfortable and it’s good value for money, and located within a short walk or drive to the beach, restaurants and shops. The staff are friendly and helpful. The pool and jacuzzi is an added bonus. Parking onsite is free, but gets busy in the summer months. I would stay here again, thank you."

"We stayed in the room called 'The General' - A gorgeous room in the main building with a lovely four poster bed and a balcony. The room was great, it could just do with a little TLC on a few parts (Very minor). Great staff, lovely pub and wonderful food and drink."

"The restaurant staff was very friendly but reception was more like “This is it, take it or leave it”… We asked support for our son to have a quick shower as he felt unwell under the sun, just 5 minutes after we checked out ( at a time earlier than 11 am check out time) they showed no empathy The second bed was extremely uncomfortable.
