Disappointed

Mildew on the walls, especially in the shower, stained towels... Drafty windows that seem weak barrières against exterior noise. Needs attention to render the comfort level acceptable.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. derelict building. Mould, damp, insects crawling around everywhere. By far the worst place i have ever been in. Could'nt stay. Turned round and walked out. Slept in the car. Absolutely awful

The apalling mess that was Lenton Lodge

The only decent thing about my stay was the owners leaving a key, as l was very late arriving! The whole house smelled unpleasant. There was no running water to the sink in my room. The shared bathroom was a mess. The whole place was run down, and in need of a good clean and update. Granted, it was cheap ... but l won't ever be going back.

There were no pictures other than the outside of this property and now I know why. It was dirty, rundown, unclean, moldy, and stinky. We vacated the property as it was unsafe for our health. There were probably bedbugs too!!Im disappointed that Expedia didn’t reimburse the money that I paid to stay in this filthy place.

No reception. I arrived at 20.00 . The front door was open. No one or no instructions on where my room was. I had to guess it was a room with a key in the door. Room was cold- no heating. Towel was dirty. Bathroom was filthy.

Never ever stay here. Expedia take this off your website. It is so unsafe my uber driver walked me to to door because he was scared for me. Nasty place. Barricaded the door at night because I was so terrified. Did not leave because I did not want to go anywhere in the dark near that house. Manager contacted me afterwards “wishing to know me better.” Do yourself a favor and spend a little more on a better place.

On arrival i thought the property was derelict over grown junk laying about,The parking area was rolled hardcore The net cutains look like they have been hanging for 20 years some in rags and black with dirt, inside was no better the place is so run down look lieke its never cleaned, the bathroom is disgusting the toilet was brown from the top down as was the room and shower,Just dont go there its terrible waste of money.

DISGUSTING

Absolutely disgusting room. Bathroom was filthy, toilet had poo stains, sink had clumps of hair all around the sink and in the drain. Cobwebs everywhere throughout the room and it smelt of mould very strongly. Genuinely concerned about the health and safety of people staying here. Cobwebs on the pillows, hair in the sheets. Stay away from this place. Full negligence from the people who own this. Disgusting

DO NOT STAY HERE! We arrived to our keys on the porch behind a small box, in our room was a very dirty carpet, dirty coffee cups, dirty water glasses, garbage on table from used sugar packs, unbelievably dirty shower, black dirt surrounded drain and in walls, spider ens and dirt on walls and by bed etc. cigarette burns on duvet, and dirty as well. Curtains half hanging off windows.

The moment I enter the driveway I tough I am in a horror movie. The minute I entered the house, oh lord I realize I did a massive mistake renting room in there. The whole place maybe never has been cleaned or at least for the past one year, everywhere thousand spider webs, dirt, dust etc. the shower wasn’t working at all in the room as it was “en-suite”… I really would never go back there and never recommend this terrifying place.

The property is in a nice area, easily walkable to airport and restaurants but the toilet and washroom are discussing and filthy with no toilet paper at all. I could not use it at all. The actual room is unmaintained, the internet did not work or the broken computer monitor that was for watching tv. Most biggest problem that should never be is the washroom.

Don't go near it.

This olace is disgusting. No towels in room or bathroom. Looked under sink and wall was covered on black mold and stinky. Window frames covered in black mold. Kettle was filthy and used tea bags beside it. Hair in the drinking glass. Spagetti noodles stuck in the sink drain. Carpets stained and smelly. I was afraid to stay but prebooked online. Got out as fast as possible.

The room was filthy, i didn't want to touch anything. The whole room smelled like urin, in particular next to the bed. There was a wind current even though the window was closed, so it was extremely cold, there was no heating system. The ad said I would het a king size bed, but i got a bed for kids. The bathroom was the most disgusting one, i didn't even dare to use the toilet, it had feces all over. I know it was cheap, but that doesn't mean it has to be completely unhygienic. This place should not be operating.

Not great... I should have read reviews before staying. Read everyone else's, its pretty much summed up by all who have stayed. Its cheap for a reason. damp, cold, no vacuum cleaner or cleaner in sight, shower disgracefully unhygienic with other human hair (or animal) clogging the drain, single glazing, gusty - the list goes on. Plenty of potential as a guest house but requires the owners to spend some money on the place to bring it up to a reasonable standard. could have easily walked off after seeing the accommodation, but stayed due to circumstance with our flights the morning after. Would not recommend until an overhaul of the place has taken place. Disappointed.

I received an email with instructions for checking in between 2-7 pm, I emailed back as I was arriving at 9 pm and needed instructions for that. No response and I called 10 times to arrange and no response either - concerned I wasn’t going to be able to get in I booked somewhere else. I contacted hotels.com for assistance and they were hopeless too The property eventually messaged me back at 8 pm and refused to take any responsibility for their lack of response. After seeing the reviews on here, I’m glad I didn’t go as the place sounds like from an horror movie and the treatment from the owner matches all the reviews below

Would not recommend! Very rundown property and building. Stayed one night and really wanted to leave and check in somewhere else. I have never felt this way at any other location. The man who checked us in was unkept and although tried to be friendly he made us very uncomfortable. We did not feel comfortable using the shower so can’t say if it worked. There was no soap to wash our hands or any toiletries. We only had 1 towel that was super rough and abrasive. There was no garbage can. It was difficult to access the front door as the area between was torn up. Definitely no enhanced cleanliness measures, 32 inch TV etc as described. I will say that the wifi did work, we could lock the door, and the white bed sheets appeared washed and we had toilet paper and running water. It wasn’t a king bed as advertised but a double but we managed.

Oh dear.

Me and my pregnant partner booked an evening here just to get a change of scene for the evening. Upon arrival I was asked to guess which room we were staying in. Once we got passed this comment, we were told to not use the electric heater unless completely necessary as the price of electricity is very high! This was only the tip of the iceberg. Upon entering the room we were absolutely disgusted at the state.. mould everywhere, unclean cups and in all honesty the room was falling to bits. We decided to vacate asap and sought refuge in the local travel lodge. For an extra £20 per evening. In my haste to leave I took the key with me which I posted the following morning. Unfortunately I would not recommend staying here unless the place has a massive overhaul. Possibly we were in one of the lesser looked after rooms. However would never ask my partner to put up with this in her state as I could see the disgust in her face. I don’t even think the proprietor knew we did not stay as he was messaging for his key back. Had he looked at the front door it would have been evident.
