"Overall, the property is wonderful. The beds were comfy. The lanai was nice to have coffee on in the morning. However, the shower drain in our room didn’t work very well - not a big deal. Multiple plug ins didn’t work - not a big deal. The pool was a bit of a disappointment, due to how deep it was, and a lack of floaties. The other Outrigger has a much nicer pool set up. We also had one night where we were getting packed up because the pool was closing (at 9, which seems kind of early in Hawaii), and were being rushed to get out. And the pool assistant made us drop the pineapple creme brulee we had just waited over an hour and a half for, because the grill restaurant kept forgetting us. I went back up about 5 times. So dropping it due to being rushed, was, incredibly frustrating. Especially for the price of it, and how long we had to wait for it. I started to feel like a bit of an inconvenience. We had a similar experience at Monkeypod. Ordered drinks while waiting for our food - didn’t get the drinks until after our food arrived, again, an hour later.
I think it would be helpful to have some extra linens in the room. We were chilly the first night. But without the ac set low, it would get too hot. The second night I requested extra blankets and we were much more comfortable.
We also had one cockroach incident, which I was not prepared for at 2:30 in the morning - so I went and woke my mom up 😂 and had her kill it. I understand that this is perhaps to be expected in Hawaii."
