"I booked 2 rooms, both of which were excellent, very clean and beautifully furnished, recently fitted bathrooms with excellent facilities. The staff were wonderfully friendly and welcoming, they made us feel very comfortable in the beautiful location. We really enjoyed our pre dinner drinks by the open fire in the guests lounge and learning about the history as we explored the building. Delicious food, we met the chef who checked our exact needs. The walls were paper thin so I could hear everything in the neighbouring rooms. The hotel is on a main road so the traffic noise was loud with the window open. "

"Great place to stay in Moffat's main street. I had a single room with spacious bathroom, kettle with coffee/tea, biscuits and milk in a fridge with bottled water and cola. Comfortable bed and all spotlessly clean. Friendly bar with nice varied menu plus good breakfast. Loads of parking outside. Really enjoyed my stay."

"What a super little hotel! Upon arrival, we received a warm Scottish welcome and were shown up to our rooms. It may be the narrowest detached hotel in the world but the rooms aren't lacking in space. The following morning we had a good Scottish breakfast before heading north on our journey."
