Stopped for 1 night at the Balmoral, while touring on my motorbike. Lovely single room. Excellent bar meal. Fantastic breakfast. Parked my motorcycle safety in the courtyard too ! Excellent value for money & will stop again.

We had a really nice room up on the top floor which was homely & spacious. The staff were really friendly & helpful & the food was lovely. Will definitely stay there again.

Good choice for a short stay

Good sized single room. Centrally located hotel with various goods and services within walking distance. A choice of alternative places to eat close by. Friendly helpful staff. Breakfast menu offered several choices of well-cooked and nicely presented food. Popular eating place offering good quality 'pub grub.'

Good coaching inn

Old refurbished coaching inn.Comfortable abd large size room as well bathroom. Like the fridge in room with milk , complimentary coke and water. Also the large tray of sweets left. Usually pub food and good selection. No parking need to park in market place if can find a place which is free or elsewhere can find.

I arrived at 10.00 p.m. Check in was smooth and hassle free. There was a fridge in the room with fresh milk for a cup of tea, which I didn’t expect.

Super friendly folk, bed/shower could be better.

Last min booking. Super friendly welcome, bar staff and locals. We chose the cottage as wanted no noise from other guests. Large space. Basic but adequate furniture. Nice touches with the biscuits and chocolates. The double bed is a double, but having a timber head/foot board its just not big enough for anyone over 6ft tall. The mattress is also a basic spring one that "twangs" when you roll over. The shower pressure was also very poor. This is a shame as everything else was acceptable. Great breakfast provided and really friendly lady serving. Would definitely stay again, but only if the bed frame/mattress was changed.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Loved the cottage layout and the lovely private garden. Decor a bit tired in places but that wouldnt put us of returning. Had a lovely 3 night break.
