"The hotel was immaculate and breakfast was good but the stand out feature of our stay were the staff. All staff we dealt with were extremely helpful, courteous and we loved the sense of humour of the male member of staff greeting us at breakfast. Our room was lovely and comfortable and the discount on hotel bar items was great. "

"We attended a birthday party. The hall was nice. We had an evening meal at the hotel, which was absolutely delicious. The room was quite disappointing, needing updating. The bedside lamps didn't work, but the staff were lovely"

"Excellent hotel.
Beautiful character room with good facilities and spotlessly clean.
Very helpful and friendly staff, especially welcoming at check-in and although busy, they showed us to the room.
Would definitely recommend, we will make it our go to hotel in North Yorkshire."

"Wonderful stay after a day at Farmer Copleys (which is literally a minute away by car). We stayed in one of the bungalows which was brilliant, very clean and lovely little balcony which we would have sat out on but the weather was a little bit rainy. Room was quite warm with lovely underfloor heating, I struggled slightly as I like to sleep in a room that feels like the arctic but they provide a big fan that was perfect. "An enjoyable one night stay at a hotel where the positive features far outweigh any minor niggles. Attentive and pleasant staff, excellent food, well presented and served in a timely manner. Rooms just bordering on the need for some love and attention, although White Stuff toiletries do a good job in diverting attention from the nasty stain on one of the seats.
Decent enough spa facilities, although it would be helpful if the price to swim were included in the booking price."

"This was the perfect spot for a catch up with friends and visit to the Yorkshire Sculpture Park.
The accommodation was similar to Premier Inn styling - clean, lovely big bed and practical bathroom.
The room had a TV, plenty of sockets, wall heater, free wifi and iron / hairdyer / fan available for use. Plenty of storage space too.
The staff in the restaurant were very friendly and the food choices for evening meal and breakfast were good. The drinks and food were also reasonably priced....
