"Charming historic building but inside there was a modern hotel with clean and comfortable, well-maintained rooms. It also has ample parking. There is a pleasant bar area and restaurant. They served a good buffet breakfast with a range of food to suit all tastes (fruit, yoghurt, cereals, bread/toast, pastries, cold meats and cheeses and also a full cooked breakfast). "The hotel itself was fine. The pool which was one of the main reasons for booking this property was closed. Then the hotel sent me a parking fine for despite paying for parking and having a receipt which has been nothing but stress to have this finally removed"

"The maintenance issues did not take away from the enjoyment of our stay. However, for the price, I think it fell short of expectation. The taps did not turn properly, the sinks, shower and tub did not drain, the 4 poster bed was repaired by wrapping sheets around the posts (wth?) I think it is very important to note THERE IS NO AIR CONDITIONING! They did their best with fans, and then - with a very grateful heart - a portable air conditioning unit. The buffet was very good but had zero variation...

"Room had no minibar, no snacks, no bottled water, no air con, only a fan. Bath was nice and deep but taps difficult to turn on. Flooboards creaked whereever I walked, inside the room, as well as on the stairs. Breakfast was poor quality and selection. Swimming pool had nice outdoor area. Was asked to pay deposit upon checking in. Given there was nothing removal from the room, did they suspect I might be taking the bed with me? Overall, not impressed."

"Clean room, friendly and helpful staff. Free tea and coffee whilst you wait for your room. My only criticism is my room wasn't quite ready at checkin as they were busy, however this was quickly sorted. I would stay here again."
