Great 24x7 reception staff, building in excellent condition, 3 kitchens, no rooms have private bathrooms regardless of what Hotels.com says. Nice saunas (free in the morning), inexpensive laundry facility, elevator, rooms are quiet.
I arrived in Helsinki on the Viking ferry late in the evening, and this hostel was an incredibly convenient stopover, just five minutes from the port. There's a 24-hour ALEPA grocery store nearby. The surrounding area is safe and quiet, and the reception is open 24/7, which was important to me as a solo traveler. While the hostel may appear simple at first glance, it’s well-equipped and has a cozy, welcoming atmosphere. My room and linens were impeccably clean, and the shared areas were thoughtfully organized and well-maintained.
It does everything it says it would, so can’t complain really! The pictures do make it look slightly nicer than it is - it’s very basic but clean and does the job well! Quite noisy though with a lot of rooms
The staff were outstanding, helpful, and friendly. The room was quite nice, with plenty of storage space. The shared spaces were all reasonably clean and adequate. However, the shower space and kitchen were not adequately ventilated and smelled bad.
Very great price

Nice clean hostel, showers, walkable location to the downtown, public transport 1min walk
Staff was great. The hall carpets look duty but I think there are just old. It’s a good location at least 15 mins walk to downtown. It’s great for the rates they have no more than two night, perhaps 3. I was promised an individual room and shared bathroom with other person, ended up sharing with everyone. The Sauna is advertise as free, but that’s is o my from 7am to 10 after that you pay 7 Euros.
Great deal with clean, spacious rooms. The shower could have been cleaner and the water could have been hotter, but that was my only complaint. Otherwise a lovely stay and very comfortable for a hostel!

Liked: Staff & service, room comfort
Hostel with a free morning sauna :)
Best hostel in Helsinki - and actually one of the best ones I´ve ever stayed in. Service is very friendly, rooms are basic but perfectly ok for a one nigth stay. Morning sauna is an amazing bonus! I always stay here while in Helsinki.
Comfortable short stay at a good price relative to Helsinki. The room was basic as expected. There is 1 bathroom for males and 1 for females per floor. They could’ve been kept cleaner and I imagine get busy in summer. Breakfast was a buffet of hot and cold options.
Quiet and comfortable. Helpful staff. Sometimes bathroom was crowded but went to next floor to use those facilities. No time to visit sauna, alas!
Easy walk or tram into town.
This the second time I stay at Eurohostel. I love this place because it offers a reasonable price, it is walking distance from city center. The premises are very clean. There is a morning sauna free to use which is a great advantage and the place is very quiet. Staff is lovely and friendly. Next time I visit Helsinki I will stay at Euro Hostel.
Usual youth hostel facilities. Welcoming staff. Small cafe/bar. Easy to get to from the railway station (get the #4 tram if you don't want to walk the 1.6km). Very handy to Viking Line ferry (200m).
