Upon arrival, the staff provided tea and mochi while they checked us in. The room itself was spacious and beautiful. Having a private onsen on the balcony was a huge plus, and one of the main reasons we booked the room. The only shower is also outside on the balcony, which wasn't super comfortable. At night the room got uncomfortably warm, not sure if it was because of the onsen but the a/c couldn't regulate the temp well.

Services - 1 star hotel Room - 3 star hotel Private onsen - 3 star hotel Price - 5 star hotel We paid usd $600 (no meals, no breakfast) for 1 night in October. Got a suite. Avoid. Rude staffs. One of the worst front desk ever in Japan. Room looks dated. Hot air bath. The bathtub is full of sulphur stains. The tap is surrounded with sulphur deposits which looks like it has not been properly cleaned for years. The windows in hot air bath room cannot be opened. But do not have blinds or curtains. The residents in the next building can easily see us naked. The location is not that great. No view. Our hot air bath room faces another residential building. There is no way customer can consider this to be 4.5 stars.
