The Thames Barrier, with the Millennium Dome in the background. The barrier system protects the city of London from flooding. It's quite the engineering marvel and is worth a visit if you can spare the time. Seeing it around sunset makes for a great view and photo opportunity.

"Really convenient for O2 which is why we booked. 8min easy walk. Lovely boutique room, great view (no 10). Comfy bed, top notch facilities. Friendly and helpful staff. Great breakfast and FREE parking for 36hours. "

"Room was clean spacious and better than we expected. Nice to have a bath as well as a shower. Bit strange having a separate toilet which means going into the bathroom to wash your hands. Staff all pleasant, courteous. Good to have a 24 hour bar. Nice & close to the DLR station and Greenwich centre. We'll be back in a few days for another event at the O2!"
