"I never used the swimming pool but it was nice to know there was one, the rooms were clean and the staff were wonderful the breakfast was amazing just didn't have any scrambled eggs they only had boiled eggs, cereal, muffins, danish, bread, waffles, instant oatmeal, fruit and yogurt."

"This was mis-sold. The room was dirty and shabby. The bathroom wasn’t clean with hair in the sink and toilet clearly given a cursory clean. I found hair on the sheets. A small fridge and freezer seemed to have been dumped in the room. The coffee machine was dirty (there wasn’t any tea/coffee in the room in any case). We knew there would be no air conditioning so that was not an issue but given the location by the main road and the flimsy windows it did not look or feel safe especially to leave...

"The Cottage and Castle is absolutely charming, beautifully decorated and situated in a lovely neighborhood of colourfully painted houses and As well it is anIt’s a real gem. However as we returned after an evening out the stench in the air from a soil, composting, wastewater and recycling treatment plant was overwhelming. I there is a solution to this as Chemainus is a charming town and the Cottage and Castle was exceptional! "

"Oh boy...I greatly dislike writing negative reviews. While Chemainus is adorable, the location is fantastic and the exterior is a dream...this aint it. Mouldy drapes, a number of amenities were broken (electric fireplace, mouldy fridge), no wifi, questionably clean bedsheets. And (I have photos as proof) a white substance residue left on the counter next to the bed. I will say that the indoor jet tub was amazing! I swear I heard a cough below us at one point and noticed a little door that looked...
