"On an island with giant all-inclusive mega-resorts, British Colonial was a wonderful throwback hotel. It was clean and quiet with an understated elegance, and easily walkable to downtown and a number of restaurants. Staff was helpful and friendly, without being intrusive. Hotel has a nice private beach and pool area. It is located near the port, so you can see the cruise ships sail in and out of the harbor, a rather impressive sight."

"My stay at this hotel was phenomenal! I checked in and manager Clyde was very welcoming and provided a drink as soon as we arrived. I stayed in the Bahamas for 6-7 nights and enjoyed my stay as I felt safe and this hotel is in the middle of many attractions. The hotel provided quick taxis when needed and have great amenities like a pool, quick elevator access, and a big lobby to hang around and eat. Everyone at the hotel was really kind and helpful when something was needed. I enjoyed my stay...

"Good value for money if you’re looking for all inclusive stay in the bahamas. Pros: Food: Definitely not 5-star quality all around but very decent. Highly recommend the Italian restaurant for dinner. No kids 😁. Location: The Atlantis is within 10 minute walk. I’m no gambler but it’s fun just to walk the grounds and the shops. Shuttle service: Highly recommend checking out Cabbage beach. Shuttle picks up every 30 minutes. Staff: Is very helpful. Some are friendly than others but...

"Not the standard we know of Holiday Inn. Rooms are soo small, bed is a Double bed for 2 people. The first room we were given had a broken bed, I had to complain before I was moved to another room. Complimentary breakfast was nice though. Totally not worth the expensive amount I paid. Positive side is that its in downtown and Junkanoo beach is right across the street."

"Place was in a building under construction in which the apartment is very hidden and the instructions to find it were not clear. The place was really dark at night and made everything more difficult to find. Someone saw us struggling at night trying to find the place and guided us to the apartment. The host was not very accommodating regarding our request to ck out at 12 rather we than 11 am so that we could finish an activity that ran late. "

"Excellent value for money, rooms are a bit out dated, but staff was extremely helpful food was pretty good and amenities on the property are nice. And of course the view overlooking the pool and ocean is Bahama Beautiful."
