"Solid onsen option in Gero. Can be a little difficult to access on foot. Large buffets for breakfast and dinner as well as complementary beverages in the lobby and outside of the baths."

"Staffs of front desk are rude and ignore clients. Shuttle bus did not showed up and hotel is old. Do not pick it if you have choice."

"Bosenkan is far from another ryokan and downtown in Gero. It's very peaceful and relax. Most of guests are Japanese. The room is very large and clean. There is smell of old wood and tatami. Food in evening and morning is full course of kaiseki that very delicious. There is some foods that you never eat before. The open-air onsen is very feel good that you must try."

"Great location with free parking space. Very nice & helpful staff. But the spa area is too small when u are in the famous hotspring town."

"Great onsen, good breakfast, room was clean and comfortable. Staff professional and friendly."

"Great place. As billed. Food was meh. Onsen was fantastic. If you’re a guy, you get access to a big barrel sauna. If you’re a gal, you’re out of luck—their culture, their rules. Nice place though. Great rooms, any amenities you can imagine available for use—robes, slippers, air purifiers, humidifiers, even little bitty crocs for kids. Good location, short stroll to Kozenji Temple. Overall I’d recommend it."
