"Bosenkan is far from another ryokan and downtown in Gero. It's very peaceful and relax. Most of guests are Japanese. The room is very large and clean. There is smell of old wood and tatami. Food in evening and morning is full course of kaiseki that very delicious. There is some foods that you never eat before. The open-air onsen is very feel good that you must try."

"Staffs of front desk are rude and ignore clients. Shuttle bus did not showed up and hotel is old. Do not pick it if you have choice."

"The staff are friendly and very helpful. Room is so clean and also wide. Bathroom is so good with separate part between dry and wet zone. Shower water is very nice strong ! :)) The location is so close to Takayama Station. Restaurants and minimarts are walkable. Breakfast is so gooooooood."

"Great location with free parking space. Very nice & helpful staff. But the spa area is too small when u are in the famous hotspring town."
