"Really nice hotel near the city centre. Very short walk away from train stations (Exeter Central and Exeter St David's) and the cathedral. The room was a great size and very clean. There was also some complimentary port and flapjacks which was a lovely surprise when we arrived. The breakfast was really tasty and decently priced (£15 for a cooked breakfast, unlimited hot drinks, and a small continental breakfast buffet). Only negative for me was that it was sometimes quite hard to find a member...

"Lacked charisma whilst it is a lovely building the rooms and corridors looked tired and could do with a fresh coat of paint. Breakfast was nice but no personal touches. £10 each to use the pool was a bit poor as a resident I have never paid this surcharge in any other hotel so we didn’t bother. We booked this hotel as it was close to princesshay shopping which was about 3 mins walk perfect. £15 to park there for 24 hours seemed reasonable. "

"Paid for and expected a full breakfast. Only Eggs on the menu. Shared dining room with Office. Bins outside, whole area a dumping ground. Room not very clean, old broken furniture. How on earth did this dump receive a half a star? Best bit - location but dont expect to park for free, residents permit required. Loved Exeter, hated the Crescent."
