"Lovely hotel, no its not perfect but its a Victorian building so obviously its old but has great character. The rooms are fairly modern with flat screen tv, comfy beds and up to date bathrooms. We stayed in a sea view twin room had no problems. Staff were happy to help, if you run out of anything in the room just ask and they give it to you. Bar staff lovely and chatty. Drinks and food in bar are good and reasonably priced, i was shocked at how they matched a regular pub, hotels usually rip...

"An amazing weekend at the Grand - was there for our wedding anniversary that coincided with the Airbourne. Staff on the whole were amazing - the service was a bit intermittent at times, but it was a busy weekend for them so totally understand how difficult it is to get the resource right. We will definitely be back to stay again."

"We were visiting friends and stayed one night. Good sized room, very comfortable, good en-suite and air con. All the brown wood was a bit dated and dark. The staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was very good"
