The restaurant for both dinner and breakfast is excellent with both the food and service being just that If I had one small grippe and I know it’s difficult but the possibility of having a light duvet wouldn’t go amiss. I tend to use a 4.5 tog duvet all year round and the duvet in rooms is heavy and I get too warm but mot enough to throw the duvet off"

"Beautiful hotel grounds, staff are extremely friendly, rooms are very clean but a little dated - the bathtub and shower had very obvious signs of wear with cracked tiles, very old and outdated shower taps, stains and scratches on the bottom of the tub. The provided toiletries gels were a lovely quality (The White Company) and the view from the room was so gorgeous. The stay was quiet and we barely heard other guests or noise from outside. "Had a wonderful stay at this beautiful hotel. It was an easy walk to & from the train station. At first, my husvand & I were afraid it wasn't for us because on our first day, we found it difficult to navigate the narrow hallways, mutiple fire doors & several sets of stairs with our suitcases in order to get to our room on the 2nd floor (equivalent to the 3rd fl. in the US).
