"No issue with the property itself, they are renovating so good things to come I am sure. The only issue I had was the shower was not hot enough. It was a cold morning in Putaruru, and I really wanted a nice steaming hot shower, but sadly it just wasn't hot enough."

We didnt want to make a scene so said we had to leave for family matters. Would not recommend this place infact no smoke alarms is a major health and safety breech. Never be back."

"Had a really great stay at Rydges Rotorua. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and well looked after. The staff were fabulous and very friendly throughout my stay. There was an issue with the WiFi in my room, that seemed to be isolated to that room only. The team investigated and when couldn't resolve it moved me to another room, which solved the problem straight away. Overall, very happy with the stay and would definitely come back."

"Stayed one night at Millennium Rotorua with the family. The location is definitely the best part — very close to Polynesian Spa and only about a 10-minute walk to the shops and restaurants. But honestly, the hotel itself just felt like a basic room for a very high price. I really don’t understand why many hotels in New Zealand lack simple standard amenities that are common in Asia. "Excellent location, rooms comfortable, quiet and well presented. Continental breakfast buffet had lots of options but food was old, stale and overall disappointing. You also have to pay extra for any non instant coffee on top of the $37 charged to us for breakfast. Definitely skip the breakfast if you have to pay for it. Plus side is there are lots of places within walking distance with much better food. Overall it’s a good place."

"Good location. When we booked, it was said that the breakfast was included, but the hotel tried to charge us. They accepted it when we gave them the confirmation. The room was spacious and the design was good, but things were worn out, from the doors, the heating system, the paint, etc."

Within easy walking distance to more restaurants than you can visit. Disappointed that there wasn't a pool. Didn't like that price for breakfast went up if we didn't commit at check in. The price should be the same for guests regardless of when you decide to have it. Overall, a good experience "
