Room 21 is to be avoided the view out of both windows was horrible. The laundry on one side and the fire escape on the other. I wonder if the hotel gives expedia the worst room? "Firstly, £15 a day for the privilege of parking at the hotel and it’s on a first come first serve basis, is more the norm now bits it’s appalling, if you go out your not guaranteed your spot once returned. Tv didn’t work until I asked twice for it to be sorted and the fridge didn’t work and didn’t get sorted. However, it’s a lovely new/clean and well designed hotel. Comfy bed, lovely on suite and a great location for Paignton and close by Torquay. Overall we would go again!"

"Fabulous hotel. Friendly staff and wonderful position. We had a gorgeous room over looking the estuary. Couldn't fault anything. My husband collapsed in Salcombe and everyone at the hotel was very helpful, particularly members of the public who came to my husbands aid. I did thank the people that helped us but not having anyone's telephone numbers was not able to thank them properly. It was so appreciated. "Unfortunately our stay was marred by the fact that the bathroom bin had not been emptied and contained the previous residents used sanitary products!!! The shower took 25 minutes to drain and, whilst we understand the logistics of old manor houses, if the plumbing is not up to standard then this should be at least mentioned on booking. "Double room on small size. Bed was a small double. Sea view was lovely. Breakfast was good. Limited parking managed to get space for 3 nights. Had problem with leaking toilet from 1st day. Reported every day, never seemed to resolve. Towels stuffed at back of toilet to soak up. Not great. Only sorted we think on day left."
