"Good air con. Plenty of parking extra at rear. Clean room. Lots of light switches but only 1 worked. No shelf in shower to stand anything on. Taps in sink not enough height to get kettle access.
Corridor lit very dim a bit creepy for ladies on their own.
Price of drinks in bar were extortionate. Lots of cameras in bar ceiling I counted 9 at least. No intention of taking our own drink but felt like Stalag 13 with cameras watching everyone. The wedding was excellent but not a place I would...

"It was very disappointing, we arrived midday and there was only one waiter in the bar trying to serve drinks for everyone in the bar, restaurant and around the outdoor pool. He was also taking orders for food and serving the food. He really was doing his best and could only keep apologising. To make things worse there was only one person in the kitchen!!
The hotel is poorly managed and desperately needs more staff in the bar and restaurant.
We were glad we didn’t stay there for dinner.

"Booked a room with queen bed and sofa bed with beeakfast through Expedia.
On arrival they had all the details but initially told me breakfast was not included and had to show her my booking.on the ohone.
We then got to the room it was just one bed.
I went back to reception and was told that was all that was available and "Expedia shouldn't let me book a room that is unavilable".
Nothing she could do to help.
Only when I insisted they were going to have to provide a refund did she manage to...

"Our stay was a journey down memory lane for me. The hotel was still lovely and popular, the room was clean and albeit small as a twin, it was in keeping with such a historic building and the lady on the bar, who checked us in couldn’t be more welcoming. The kitchen even catered amazingly for a veggie and a vegan option breakfast.
The hotel is centrally located for the beautiful village of Eyam’s history trail, tea rooms and local walks with good parking facilities. "
