"The room had two empty bottles of beer when we checked in. The staff were very good in every way, but the duvets do not have a cover, just a sheet under and a sheet over meaning during our sleep; we would touch the uncovered dirty duvet surface which many many others had touched during their sleep! The hotel needs to put the duvet in an entire case sheeting and then zip the bottom. When we requested this, the staff who are in NO way to blame were apologetic and said they did not have proper...
"Cute place, nice environment and ,good breakfast ,helpful staff, alcoholic drinks (apart from beer)are on the high side but otherwise everything else was perfect "
"The hotel is a few minutes walk to the clock tower and in a quiet neighborhood.
Hotel was clean and staff friendly.
I will come back next visit to Chiang Rai."

River views and coffee shops are some things travellers note about Sanuk Residences. Check out Central Chiang Rai or Chiang Rai Night Bazaar while you're familiarising yourself with the larger area.
Commune with nature and explore the great outdoors at Khun Korn Waterfall during your travels in Chiang Rai. Stroll along the area's riverfront or simply enjoy its cafes.
Take a campus tour or just explore the area of Mae Fah Luang University during your trip to Chiang Rai. Stroll along the riverfront or visit the temples in this relaxing area.
We love Thailand, Bangkok, Krabi, Chiang Mai, Phuket (ok) But Chiang Rai is at the top now. Laid back vibe, mountain setting, "modern" temples. The friendly people more like Cambodia or Vietnam vs. Bangkok. You won't be disappointed here!

A pretty genuine Thai City, not too unchanged by tourism over the last 20 years at all. I highly recommend getting the free Tram tour around the city and temples... It goes twice a day

Laid back friendly atmosphere. Good value for shopping, however, not that many exciting tourist activities.
"The hotel was really nice. The staff were helpful and our room was big and spacious. The pool is in a good location had plenty of sunbeds around it and had a poolside bar with snacks. We had a mini bar with free soft drinks in our room, free water and fruit in reception. We used bolt to get to the local attractions and it was reasonably priced. The hotel offered us a package with a private driver as soon as we arrived, which was more expensive than organising ourselves, but we were happy to do the planning. Upstairs there was a fitness suite and billiards room which we didn’t check out. The location was about a 10 minute walk from the clocktower and a 15 minute walk from the bus station. We visited the night market which was 10 to 15 minute walk we ate there which was lovely and they had many stalls."
"La Patta is a very nice hotel, clean and in excellent condition. The staff are super friendly and nice. Their breakfast is great. They also offer free of charge drinks and snack, coffee and sandwiches after 1 PM. It is in great location. You can go to the walking street on the weekend in a minute walk. The night market is also close. I highly recommend it. "
