Excellent stay. Ate dinner in the restaurant. Wonderful meal and service . The only disappointment was that the restaurant does not open until 8 am. I needed to leave before then and I’d plan to eat a nice breakfast in the restaurant that morning. Great hotel, very friendly staff.

The property is unique and is in a great location. I feel the nightly rate is overpriced. The next morning after we checked out, a front desk employee called to hunt down our credit card for a $15 parking fee. That was a bit ridiculous since we had already checked out and paid for our room.

The hotel is centrally located in Golden Colorado and adjacent to the downtown canal. Very friendly and helpful staff. My only knock, and it is not against the Golden, has to do with the shuttle service they advised us to use. Simply Way overpriced, $275 quote for a round trip, not responsive and just plain rude. We did not use him and obtained round-trip Lyft service for under $70. So, if you see the red shuttle service card in their lobby, avoid him like the plague. Hopefully the Golden will remove his card from their lobby. But despite this hiccup, stay at the Golden.

I loved the rustic western feel, the staff were very friendly and accommodating, the location is very convenient for walking around the town of Golden, and beds are very comfy.
