"Love the location for long walks "

"We have just returned from a fantastic stay at The Royal. Every member of staff we engaged with were professional and so friendly, a credit to the Hotel. The room was so comfortable and clean with a lovely sea view and the hotel had character and charm . The food was delicious and served in a beautiful dining room. We cannot fault anything and will definitely be returning. Thank you!"

"An amazing stay. The dining experience was excellent and the renovations that are underway at this venue is out of this world. The bedrooms are very tired and but very desirable but clean and comfortable and price reflective - a dog friendly venue - dogs welcome in all spaces. Brilliant !!! the bedrooms are scheduled for renovation November 2025 - if these are going to be designed and completed to the standard of the social spaces then the grand villa hotel will be outstanding and I imagine one...

"This were lovely rooms (we booked two, as there was a group of four of us) and they were identical, except one had a shower, the other a bath. They were spotlessly clean, and the bed was very comfy. Staff were very helpful, it is worth noting they don't serve food on Sundays but we were guided to a local pub within five minutes walk as an alternative. "

"Great location, fab pool and jacuzzi, sadly steam room not open. Wonderful games room. Quality breakfast and to end the stay the best afternoon tea 'sunday roast style'. Will definitely return."

Excellent location in the town for train station, bus stops, high street shopping and not too far from both beaches and the Castle.
