"Whilst I would not actively discourage anyone from staying at this hotel in Edinburgh, our recent experience was a negative one due to the significant noise experienced in the early hours of the morning as a result of the very busy restaurant and bar which is part of the hotel. This may have been outside the norm due to the world cup, however it felt like the hotel prioritised those watching the match over the hotel guests as there was no evidence of any attempt to keep the noise at a reasonable volume despite it being after 2am. Sadly the hot buffet breakfast the following morning was luke warm at best, despite us arriving within minutes of it opening. As a result we are unlikely to return to this hotel ourselves as there are so many others in Edinburgh to choose from that it's not worth risking a second bad experience."

"We were very disappointed with the Duty Manager and check-in staff. The Manager charged for a double spirit when asked for and handed over a single measure. During the night a couple opened our room door with a keycard which was alarming and totally unacceptable. It is clear that Reception must have allocated the wrong room and coded the card accordingly. It is extremely unlikely we will use this hotel again due to this experience"

"Large hotel next to the airport (you can walk with the luggage to/from terminal, car rental, and transit. Looks like new. Large rooms. Very generous breakfast buffet included. Nice staff. Due to the easy connections to downtown (tram running every 7-10 minutes until late, and Air Link bus running all day) you could stay here for the duration of your visit to Edinburgh. If you plan to drive around the country, it's convenient to rent the car from the airport and skip the city traffic."

"The room was modern and clean, however, the shower in the bathroom was a concern. Getting into the shower required stepping over a high tub which can be difficult for seniors. There is a glass partition which was not secure (hinged) and felt like it would swing out if you accidently leaned on it. Not the safest bathroom I have been in."
