"After I checked out of my hotel room, I walked to the nearby Edinburgh airport and discovered my flight had been cancelled and I was stuck for almost 12 hours before flying off. The hotel staff graciously allowed me to reenter my room,. (The room had not already been cleaned.). As a Hilton Honors member, I was permitted to stay until 2 pm. The gym was excellent. After checking out I hung around the hotel and worked. Without this hospitality I would have been sitting on the sidewalk outside EDI airport. Thanks!"

"The hotel was comfortable, clean and close to the airport. It was a short walk to the terminal and the number 100 bus into Edinburgh stopped almost outside, which was handy. We stayed two nights and made the mistake of eating breakfast at the hotel the first morning, but I wouldn't recommend it. The price of the breakfast was £15 extra per person and it was extortionate for the cost. The yoghurt had run out, and so many of the other options were half empty and never got refilled while we were there."

"The shower was tiny and therefore hard the get in and out of. Not enough plugs. The hallway floor was dirty. The breakfast wasn’t very good. An elevator was broken while we were there and the staff was using the one we used. They didn’t give us the option of using the elevator first and it took a very long time while we waited for them to finish. I liked the front desk area set up. Very nice."

"Perfect spot for Edinburgh zoo, which is right on the doorstep. We had time for a morning swim before heading to the zoo for opening time. Pool was lovely and quiet. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room service was excellent. Breakfast was varied and restaurant was very pleasant."

"We spent one night on our way to the airport. Two things to note: the hotel is right beside a very busy train track. If you are a light sleeper, then you should absolutely bring earplugs. Secondly, it costs 15 pounds to park overnight as the car park is privately operated. It's the first time I experience that, and given the price we paid for the hotel for one night I found it usurious. It is also not disclosed until after you book."

"Very good hotel with good housekeeping. Very friendly staff and nice amenities such as the pool/sauna area incl vapor sauna. About 20 mins from the old town area, which we found all ok (car or bus easy access). The Delta hotel accepted a small pet which is a clear positive aspect in an environment of ever increasing rejection of pets. Recommended."
