"The room was great and the staff was very helpful!"

"Nice place for what it is but location has 2 big issues. Road noise is extremely high especially very early morning, bring ear plugs. Buses do go direct to central city but are overloaded in the mornings - commuters and lots of school kids. Some buses are so crowded they don’t even stop"

"I left two shirts behind and was able to have them delivered to my home address with the very much appreciated help of a number of staff members. I was very happy to have the shirts returned and it was all down to the staff who helped. I’m forever grateful"

"Clean and compact place to stay."

"Great pool area, rooms are good, bed was great. I made a mistake during booking and tried to get in touch with the hotel and Expedia to fix it. But we could not reach the hotel by phone not in the evening not in the morning and when we checked in they could not offer us any help or compensation so we needed to spend 350 pounds for a night for two rooms we didn’t use."

"The staff were so helpful! The hotel is in a good position for connections all over the city."

"Overall a not bad place to stay BUT ....... We travel extensively and stay in lot of hotels in the USA and Canada. We were conditioned to free WiFi. This hotel offers FREE WiFi for 30 minutes a day and you have to pay a fee for usage beyond that. 30 minutes! It's not like they undercharge for their rooms and have to make up for it with extra fees."

"The staff was so friendly! Made breakfast for the guests as well as had cereals and muffins to eat. The beds were comfortable and the shower had good water pressure. There is parking on the property as well as a close by bus stop for public transport!"

"We had a basement room. No phone signal, occasional wifi connection. Tv signal intermittent. Room tired. Not the cleanest, large cobwebs and black mould at bottom of shower. The beds were clean and the room was nice and warm. Bus stops nearby. Handy for the zoo."

"This is a great place to stay if you’re looking for a quiet neighborhood without the mobs of tourists. The building is beautiful and quite sprawling. I was on the 2nd floor and had incredible views of Dean village. On clear days you can see quite far beyond the city into the mountains and sea. My room was spacious and well stocked with coffee, espresso, tea, dishes, flatware, etc. I had control over the heat which i loved. The bed was quite comfortable and the furniture was quite nice. "Zentrumsnahes Hotel, dennoch ruhig gelegen. Absolute Empfehlung- vielen Dank!"

"I loved this place. It was exactly as described. Clean, modern furnishings in a beautiful old building. Comfortable bed, plush towels, great heating system. I had a gap between when I arrived in Edinburgh and the 15:00 check in which is often the case. Your code will let you into the building and a room in the basement where you can leave your luggage. This was greatly appreciated. The location was excellent. I walked everywhere and didn’t once use Edinburgh’s wonderful public transportation....

"Wonderful stay at Eden Locke in New Town Edinburgh. The building was clean and quiet. Check in was later than our arrival time, but the staff were accommodating with storing our luggage before we could access our suite. The room was a small studio-type suite, perfect size for two people. If one wants to be self sufficient, this is perfect. Small kitchenette with laundry. Housekeeping was only once in our ten days there, so the space was truly our own."

"The property worked for our family of 5 stay; however, property does not have AC which would be important in the summer. Additionally, sleeping 5 meant sharing spaces as there is only a large great room / kitchen and the master bedroom with master bath. If you need a laundry you’ll have to reserve somewhere else. The location was the best attribute of this property. It is close to everything."

"The owner made a plate of hot breakfast every day of my trip but it seems as though there were bed bugs in the room. I can't remember seeing it listed either, but there are 2 indoor dogs as well. The owner was very nice though and was always interested in knowing how I was doing and recommending activities! Initial spot on map was incorrect as it took me to a residential house, but there was a small parking lot on property."
