The Cornwall Hotel Spa & Estate
8/10 Good
"Room was lovely, clean, spacious and modern with a beautiful view of the garden.
The food was delicious both dinner and breakfast. The buffet breakfast was the best I've had.
All the staff were friendly and helpful.
Nice spa area with good showers in the changing room.
Very happy, would stay again."

The Falmouth Hotel
8/10 Good
"Excellent service from the porters really lovely I didn’t get her name but she was so helpful and really looked after us.
I would definitely stay here again.
Excellent location. "

Bodmin Jail Hotel
8/10 Good
"Lovely hotel. Staff were really helpful and friendly. The room was very clean and the bathroom was very luxurious. The evening meal was okay but my husband’s dish tasted quite bland, considering the prices - we expected slightly better quality. We really enjoyed the history and novelty of the hotel. The free mini bar was a nice touch. "

Greenbank Hotel
6/10 Okay
"The beds were very uncomfortable.
The sofa bed that my kids use the mattress was not good very hard. Not acceptable.
I expected better for the price I paid. Also charged me extra £33 for a child.
Nice location

St Michael's Resort
10/10 Excellent
"We enjoyed a two night stay there recently. We had the room with an outing seating area which definitely made it more spacious and as the weather was reasonably good we sat outside quite a bit. The swimming pool was a brilliant experience and all in all we had a great time. Re the breakfast for the vegetarian option it would have been good to have a few more options eg vegan sausages or avocado please "

Harbour Hotel St Ives
4/10 Poor
"Disappointing
Although refurbished to a good standard, the hotel has unfortunately kept a 1930s style lift, great to look at, but quite useless as a functioning lift. Particularly useless if you’re on the fourth floor as it only goes to three. It has a metal shutter style inner door that if left open when leaving, renders the lift inoperable. In a three day stay I had to find the lift on at least six occasions to close the door as my wife needed to use it. I would therefore, not recommend this hotel to anyone with mobility problems.
The staff were very friendly and as helpful as they could be. Evening meals were good but kept the same menu so quite repetitive. The English breakfast was inedible. Fried egg burnt on the bottom, raw on top. Sausage with a skin so tough it was difficult to cut, and the remainder of the items had spent too long under a heat lamp so they had dried out.
Great views but the hotel needs some sorting out.

Penmere Manor Hotel
8/10 Good
"We stayed in a basic room, which would benefited from updating / refurbishment.
There were areas i.e. the corridors.
Restaurant and bar food was only available from 6:30 pm, which was a little inconvenient as we had traveled to the hotel from Cheshire and had booked to attend the theatre in the university.
The staff provided an excellent service friendly, approachable and helpful."

Camelot Castle Hotel
2/10 Terrible
"We booked to stay in a “luxury apartment” in a castle, they put us in an another building away from the castle instead! This building backed onto a building site complete with noisy vehicles, mess and a skip! Rear windows were filthy. Seaview was obstructed by a hill directly in front (the castle was at the top of the hill, and the accommodation they put us in was a few minutes walk below that).
Told on arrival they wouldn’t be cleaning during our 4 night stay. When we questioned this, hotel reception staff were rude and tried to gaslight us by saying we should have known and that we didn’t know what self catering accommodation meant!
There was no soundproofing, so we could clearly hear the people above us, children running around and children’s electronic toys being played with again and again.
The hotel restaurant bizarrely specialises in a combination of pizza and borscht.
The hotel clearly know that their listing is not accurate. Instead of trying to address our concerns, they were rude and bordering on menacing. Because the situation was so unpleasant and so bizarre, we did some research and discovered this has been going on a long time. They use a PR agency to create fake reviews.
Please see my photos so you can make an informed decision! If I’d wanted to stay in a horrible building with no privacy and no soundproofing and no cleaning and no services, I wouldn’t have needed to pay the prices that Camelot Castle Hotel are charging. "

The Queens Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Very friendly staff, comfortable stay."
