"Nice property. Very well situated and quiet. Was pretty clean. Space to park car if you rent one.
A toaster would have been a great option to have! Host was very responsive. Would stay again at this property"

"My partner and I booked this property however when we arrived at 7pm, there was a large gate blocking the entrance and no one was there. We tried and tried to call and message the property and never received a response. La Fortuna is somewhat out in the country without many on the spot lodging options. It took us until 945 pm before we were able to get a far from desirable accommodations. We were preparing to sleep in our car by that time. We have yet to receive a refund or response. There...

"This was a wonderful first stop on our vacation as is it was midway betweeen San Jose and La Fortuna. We stayed in the family villa for 2 nights and found it to be spacious with beautifully landscaped grounds. The local waterfalls were easily accessible and we could walk to local restaurants. It was a highlight of our trip!"

"The tropical atmosphere will delightful put a smile on your face. The staff make sure that you are welcome and satisfied. The Wi-Fi and air condition don’t disappoint. Lastly, the room I stay in was clean and immaculate. I will recommend to a friend or family."
"The property is absolutely stunning, and quiet. They are undergoing renovation so it might be a little louder in some area but other than that, it's a very relaxing experience"
"I don’t usually leave reviews, but the accommodations, staff and service were exceptionally excellent. My partner and I were here for a short getaway and I’m so glad we chose El Silencio. The food was top notch and there was a wide variety of activities to choose from. The hiking on the property was quite enjoyable and we loved the on property private waterfalls. The staff here were very attentive, friendly and helpful which made our stay here very pleasant. I would highly recommend El Silencio to anyone visiting Costa Rica!"
"One block from Town Square. Lots of places to eat within 5 min . Clean and well taken care of. The breakfast was great… so was the FREE Sister hotel …. Volcano Lodge …. Beautiful property to enjoy their great hotsprings . Food was good there too… went 2 days ! Uber there was usually $5
I live in Costa Rica on the Caribbean … will for sure go back to La Fortuna and will stay at San Bosco Inn!
Comfy beds … AC if needed… only used it one night … I stayed for 4 nights "
"This was my third trip to Costa Rica, and because I had such great experiences the first two times I wondered if this one was going to live up to the fantasy I have created in my mind. I must say, I was delighted with every aspect of this trip. The stay at Tilajari was more than I could have dreamed of. When we arrived, we were greeted by Maureen. She was extremely helpful and gave us information on dinner, the eco tour held in the morning, and the location of the room. During our visit, the reception staff, including Maureen, Gustavo, and Albin, were immensely helpful in providing information about activities at and away from the property.
The property was natural and beautifully maintained. Our room consisted of two beds and overlooked the river. The overall impression of the room is it was beautifully furnished and well maintained. The wood ceilings were beautiful. There was a nicely sized balcony overlooking the river. It was a beautiful place to enjoy a bottle of wine and relax after a long day. The stone floor and the windows allowing the transfer of fresh air in the bathroom gave a spa aesthetic. Lucia did a wonderful job with housekeeping.
We had several meals at the restaurant and indulged in a variety of drinks from the bar. Restaurant Manager Bryan was very welcoming, and the service received was impeccable. Everyone took the time to explain available items to us and gave us numerous recommendations inspiring us to explore new drinks and food items. "
"I really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Tangara Arenal. I booked the bungalow option, and it was a great choice. The bungalow was surrounded by plants and trees, with outdoor seating perfect for relaxing or reading while it rained—and when it rains, it pours! The metal roof made the sound of the rain noticeable, but I found it soothing, like white noise.
We visited during the wet season and had the usual afternoon showers, but it never bothered us. The room was spacious, with a smart TV, mini fridge, and work area. Even with another bungalow nearby, we barely saw or heard anyone.
The hotel is easy to find on the main road to town. You’ll need a car or taxi to get around, but since we had a car, it was simple. Breakfast was included and served plated at the on-site restaurant—we ate there daily and also enjoyed dinner one evening. The food was tasty. The location felt safe and quiet, with a police station just a short distance away.
The only area for improvement is the shower. The handheld showerhead didn’t have a holder, and there wasn’t space to set toiletries. Adding a mount and some shelving would make it more comfortable.
Overall, this hotel offers great value, a peaceful atmosphere, and convenient access to activities. I’d definitely recommend it."
