"The beach is beautiful and the property is nice but not like Moon Palace Cancun. The staff is wonderful - Shemar at Jerk Hut, Shane and Whitney the lifeguards, Shavon and Tameka the beach waitresses. I would not go back for one reason. Over the weekend, many people who lived locally stayed at the resort and etiquette went out the window. People were cutting lines at the buffet, taking multiple plates full of food, not leaving for others. It was a fight for food. Tourist pay too much money to have to deal with this type of experience."

"Jamaica Inn is an excellent beachfront property. It is in Ocho Rios about 2 hours’ drive from the Montego Bay airport. Our room was nice, clean and comfortable. It had a wonderful balcony facing the Ocean. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The beach was sandy and pristine. We had a wonderful time on the beach. We had a problem with hot water in the shower of our room. We waited and waited with the shower running but no hot water. Sometimes the hot water would start and in the middle of the shower it would turn cold. After complaining for 3 days in a row the problem was fixed. We had Booked the room through Expedia with breakfast included; however, the breakfast menu did not specify what part of the menu is included in our breakfast plan and what part is not included. So often we ended up paying upwards of $ 40/- for breakfast. The restaurants for breakfast, lunch and Dinners were out in the open air with a decent menu. The food was very good, ambience was excellent and the live musicians were fabulous. During our stay, we found out that various celebrities such as Marilyn Monroe, Sir Winston Churchill, Ian Flemming etc. have stayed at Jamaica Inn. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience, and we would most certainly return."

"The staff and amenities were good, but we have given this property a five star rating for its location, setting and vibe. It is further down the coast from the big gated resorts and is close to the white river. If you’re independently minded and like doing your own thing - perhaps with a rental car as we had, or even if you don’t- then this offers more freedom than a mega resort . One other thing we liked was that it is popular with Jamaican visitors, not just tourists . It enabled a lot more cultural exposure. The breakfast is excellent, with eggs cooked to order, or a Jamaican breakfast . A small quiet beach and colourful murals as decor make it feel quite personable. There is a bar and an ocean deck. There is also free parking. The accommodation is actually a beach hotel and not a resort like others in Ocho Rios- with multiple pools and the like. It is also a slightly older property with a rustic charm. If you want a flashy and new resort, where you’ll only meet tourists and staff, this is not the place for you. If you want an authentic, decent quality beach hotel vibe and a great base for exploring then we strongly recommend the Sand and Tan"

"Absolutely terrible experience with Apartment E6. We paid in full for our stay through Expedia, arrived expecting a smooth check-in, and instead were left completely stranded. The owner claimed they hadn’t been paid by Expedia and refused to grant us access to the property. To make matters worse, after a few initial responses, the owner completely stopped answering our calls and messages, leaving us with no support and nowhere to stay. This situation is unacceptable. As paying guests, we should never be caught in the middle of disputes between a property owner and a booking platform. There was zero accountability, zero communication, and zero effort to resolve the issue on their end. I would strongly advise anyone considering this property to stay far away. This was stressful, unprofessional, and completely ruined our plans."
