"Superb position, next to the Alcazar palace and a very short walk to the cathedral. The staff were very friendly, nothing too much trouble for them. We were able to check in to our room early. The breakfast was really lovely with loads of choices from the menu and also yogurt, fruit and orange juice available too. Our room was on the outskirts of the palace and had Roman ruins under the floor, which you could see through glass."

"It did take a little while to get a reply to original communication via Expedia after booking - ie 24 hrs or so, however when we arrived we had a fabulous stay. Lovely building with a boutique feeling, wonderful helpful friendly staff, incredible breakfast - the best I’ve experienced anywhere abroad. Did I mention the breakfast?! Herbal tea and coffee available all day, lovely toiletries in the rooms, eco practices, very close to the cathedral and sights. The rooms were a little compact and dark...

"Honestly, the only good thing about this place is the location. It was just a little older and I had the hotel upgrade me to one other sister properties."

"Service was great. They were very response and addressed our concerns. But the property is more 3 stars than 4. We had two small beds together in one room. My wife’s bed was slipping from the end so 20-30 pct was unusable and mattress should be replaced. Bathroom also had duct tape on the ceiling and the shower is barely 2 feet wide. I couldn’t shower without hitting my hand somewhere. Location is great but I wouldn’t stay here again. Would look for an actual 4 star hotel."
