"Our stay was ok for what we paid. The room was clean but had no air conditioning, which in the heat wave was a bit uncomfortable. A fridge in the room would have been good. Breakfast was decent and they have a Starbucks onsite which was great. The staff were friendly and overall I would say it was value for money."

"Lovely location with beautiful views. We had asked if we could have a room with a view, but on arrival we were given ground floor which was quite dark inside and overlooking the rooms accross from ours, we were moved to an upper floor again overlooking the next accommodation block and a little brighter, if you book try and get one with a view. The bed was comfortable but the bathroom shower cubicle leaked water and the shower head kept dropping so had to keep adjusting it really needs a new modern shower unit, our bathroom sink kept blocking but they did come out to help but was still slow to empty. Food was good we ate on both nights of our stay, the spa front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was also good plenty of choice."

"It was okay. No where on the building does it have the words Redwings, which caused more than a little confusion. The room itself was okay, but there was maybe a quarter of a roll of loo roll for three of us to share for a two night stay! The air con worked fine, but dripped water on our belongings, so woke up with soaking luggage. The evening ‘restaurant’ only served drinks. Flat screen TV wasn’t connected to the internet so no channels were available to watch. It was £5 to use the car park for 24 hours, and there were less than 10 spaces available, so parking was a challenge. The main entrance to the hotel was through the back of the car park. But other than that, it was fine!"

"Located in centre of town there was a lot of noise from people going to and from pubs/clubs, also a lot of boy racers in there cars driving around and around constantly past our room window, we did stay on a Saturday night so probably busier than other nights, but had to have window open due to being hot and no air conditioning, and even with window closed still quite noisy. Made it difficult to sleep till about 2am when people started going home, obviously this is out of the hotel’s control and with it being an old building I assume they can’t replace old sash windows with modern ones to reduce the noise. Other that the noise the hotel was quite nice and was a reasonable standard for the price and the staff were friendly and helpful."
