"Travelling on my own - checked in and was given the key to someone else room - so walked into someone else's room! As a solo traveler this made me nervous about staying in case it happened to my room. Was told i would be offered compensation - never was - ended up barricading myself in my room at night and had a terrible night sleep. All i got was sorry to hear that and asked to give my email. Terrible service and would not recommend for a Would not stay here again as a solo travller which is a shame as its great location. If you were staying in room 459 on Wednesday 13th May i have a photo fo the inside of you rrom that i took as evidence"

"This is the perfect location if you are visiting London. It’s close to Parliament and the Waterloo train station. Everything was great."

"Rooms tiny"

"Consider staying elsewhere! The first room was in very poor condition with a mouldy smell. Bathroom, furnishings & carpet dirty. 2nd room no better. Manager offered us our money back to find ourselves another hotel but we took 3rd room although this was only slightly better as no other rooms apparently available. After complaining, we were told hotel undergoing refurbishment. Reception staff not helpful. Prosecco offered but not delivered to room so had to request this the next day. Photographs were taken to prove condition of room. There were large Rentokil vermin trap boxes in breakfast restaurant seating area. On our last morning toilet would not flush and water filled to the top of the bowl. Breakfast selection was good. We had stayed before and were happy to return but this stay was not acceptable. After email complaint the offer of a room upgrade on a returning stay would certainly not encourage us to return nor recommend this hotel to any others to stay at this hotel. It has a great location but our standard room fell far short of being anywhere near acceptable standard. Extremely disappointing!"

"I didn't like that the price didn't include breakfast. I also did not get the same price break as our friends, who booked at the same time. Quite a discrepancy!"

"Professional and kind staff"

"Lovely stay, although I was out most of the time so didn't really use many of the facilities. Very close to Mansion House tube station and just a few minutes walk to Bank station, so very convenient. Room was small but clean and comfortable. Cooked breakfast was very nice and staff pleasant. Would stay again."

"A less than five star for this stay as I had a silly runaround to get a receipt for my stay and the wrong card was charged. When you book ‘pay at property’, beware because what this actually means is that they charge the card used to guarantee the room automatically, on the day of arrival, so you do not have the opportunity to pay at the property with a different card if you chose to do so, nor to arrange an emailed invoice. Should be a much simpler process and less hassle for guests. It’s slightly putting me off staying again, to be honest."
