Comfortable hotel with a view of Chartes. Close to cathedral and restaurants. Good choice because of large , clean room with comfortable bed.

Modern hotel, 5-10 minutes walk from train station, and about the same from the cathedral. Decent sized bathroom (with separate toilet chamber), comfy bed, nice sitting chair and small work desk. Good breakfast selection, especially on the cold side.

Cleanliness is a high priority for me . You ranked high . Location was great ..close to the train station , the old quarter and eateries and the famous cathedral. Being a UNESCO city , Chartres is well maintained . I stayed a nite and enjoyed my short time . Staff were welcoming and helpful. I slept like a log as the mattress was comfortable

A quick stop on the way to Paris that was wonderful. The Mercure is located centrally and we were able to see the light shows around town. The people at the Mercure were helpful, friendly and very efficient. Would stay here again.

Great location - rooms not so good

The Mercure Chartres is ideally placed for walking round the town near the cathedral. The staff were excellent. The breakfast was also good. Sadly the room was small and stuffy. It had air conditioning but you can’t set it lower than 21 c. The beds were 2ft 6 in singles. I would expect more for £150 per night

Very nice hotel and good location, the only disappointment was the very limited gym. We always try and find a hotel with a gym and this hotel only had a token gym. They could easily fit a multi-functional weight lifting machine in the space which would make it far more useful.

The room was spacious. Shower a little odd! All was clean. No airconditioning, so in very hot weather it could be a problem. We did not eat breakfast in hotel but went out to local cafe.
