"The food both at Breakfast and Dinner was excellent. It was well presented and very tasty. The decor suited the style of building. The only issue we had were fixtures in our en suite bathroom. There wasn't a seal under the shower screen where it touched the bath which meant the bathroom floor was flooded after every shower. The sink tap was loose so it had to be held when turning on. The plug in the sink would not hold water in. The towel rail did not heat up at all."

"Crew Hall represents the last Hurrah of Victorian and Edwardian country house revamps. The public rooms, foyer and chapel are architectural gems. But it have comfortable spacious modern bedrooms combining its historic charm with modern comforts. The rooms are spotless, the staff charming and the breakfast excellent. Have stayed before will stay again"

"Stayed at the hotel after a long day at alton towers. Staff were friendly and rooms easy to find, the rooms were clean and had a great night sleep before driving 3.5 hours home the next day. My son enjoyed the swimming pool. The hotel is run down but still beautiful with vintage tiled floors, beautiful garden. The bathroom was very outdated, for the price it suited us perfectly. There is a pub attached to the hotel which is lovely and not badly priced, there were 3 beautiful cats hanging around so if your planning on a stay bring cat treats, they will appreciate it"

"Stopped for a night from check in to check out everything was great! Staff were all polite room was clean hotel was clean we didn’t hear a thing during the night (and I’m a light sleeper) we had a meal in the restaurant in the evening and the meal was excellent breakfast was excellent too ! Can’t fault anything at all Great night away"

"First time we have stayed in this hotel after a long boat trip from Belfast. A lovely Hotel set in Amazing grounds. The hotel is well maintained and the choice of evening meals were great also. There was a Prom Party going on when we arrived at the hotel and was noisy, but when you ventured into the restaurant there was no noise at all. The bed was too soft for myself but my wife loved it. The only area of concern is the breakfast meal. There needs to be a bit more care and attention to detail on this. It was self service but when we got there, there was not a lot of food left at the time. The staff need to check this on a regular basis and top up where necessary. If you wanted toast then you had to ask for some when you are at the table and whilst waiting for the toast my wife's bacon and eggs were getting colder even on a hot plate. Other than that i would thoroughly recommend this hotel and I will be going back to it in the near future as it is a great halfway stop back down to London the next day."
