"Waited 2 hours after check in. When they called for room it came up as spam and no message was left. We just happen to be around the corner so stopped in to see if it was their call and it was. They did give us 2 free continental breakfasts and $21 food & drink credit. Went for breakfast and there were at least 10 people in line ahead of us. We were told at least 20 minute wait. We had already been in line 10 minutes. As we stood there we saw 8 empty tables. When we asked about the empty...

"Armas hotel was a great place to stay before and after our cruise. It’s located in a great spot in old San Juan making the area 100% walkable. Great restaurants, fun open air bars lots of sites to see. I would definitely stay there again."

"The unit had multiple unacceptable issues during our stay. The ceiling fans were visibly dirty, and the floors were sticky and unclean. The property stairwell was dirty and had a noticeable smell of urine. When we arrived, the unit door was unlocked, which is a serious security concern. The pillowcases had long black hair on them, and the furniture was dirty and carried an unpleasant odor. These conditions do not meet basic cleanliness or safety standards. "

"A "quaint" old hotel in Old San Juan, kept up with very well. If you want hundreds of souvenir shops to walk in and out of it's very convenient. Restaurants and bars seemed to be harder to find. No real amenities at the hotel, did not see anyone using the hot baths or jacuzzi. Coffee in the lobby near the front door in the morning, had to get a hair dryer from the front desk. It served it's purpose for the overnight stay."

"Check in was easy. The desk attendant was nice & a good communicator. When she asked for my card, she automatically explained that it would not be charged unless there was damage to the room, and no holds would be placed on it. She gave me a ground floor room, explaining that the stairs were quite tricky. The floors are part cement, which seemed hard to clean, so they were a tiny sticky/dirty, but the room had definitely been cleaned. They were neat though because the original tile was exposed...

"This was the worst hotel we have ever encountered through Expedia. Unsafe stairs both to get to the room and within the room. We never saw a staff person anywhere. I'd call it a dump."

"Very comfortable apartment-style rooms. Water in the refrigerator was a nice touch! Staff excellent and friendly. Should have asked for more than 1 towel as floor got wet after showering. Loved rooftop space and restaurant!"

"The rooms weren’t super clean - the sheets had some hairs on it and I couldn’t tell if they were reused or just not properly cleaned. There was also hair on the ground. And our closet door was broken. The pictures are a little misleading - the kitchen and couches are shared areas. The rooms are very small with just beds but the bathroom was so nice The overall stay was good for what we needed which was a bed with a quiet space (except for the frogs - they are loud all night). the rooms lead...
