We only had one night here, but it is a great place to aslo spend more time - convenient location to everything. Great rooms, beautifully decorated. The shower was top notch too. Will be back

We had an excellent stay at Wild Olive! Tino the manager and all staff were so friendly and helpful. The place is very tidy and nice. Breakfast was awesome. Everything is personalized with so much attention to detail.

Es war einfach nur super! Tolles Zimmer, super Service. Das Frühstück, v.a. das Surprise Omlette, war ein Traum. Man braucht definitiv ein Auto (kann nachts gesichert geparkt werden), da nicht in Nähe der CBD. Aber idealer Ausgangspunkt um die Kaphalbinsel zu erkundigen.

Comfortable Guest House in Newlands

I have stayed at the Wild Olive Guest House on a number of occasions. The standard is consistently very good with staff being pleasant to deal with. As usual the breakfast was excellent. On this occasion I encountered a problem with the TV set in Room 5 and I trust that management will sort this out.

A perfect location for our stay in Cape Town!

We needed a home base and the Olive was perfect. Comfortable, quiet and a nice breakfast. CLEAN and FRIENDLY. At a moderate price. Will stay there again when we revisit Cape Town.

Nice accommodation very poor situation next toroad

When I booked the cottage, garden area, beside pool, I thought this was at REAR when in fact it is at the FRONT of the main house, 20 ft from a busy road. When you sit in garden you are 20ft from lorries cars and the noise of car stereos going THUD THUD, and breathing their fumes. even at night we could hear cars racing down the road or accelerating away (it is one house away from traffic lights), Nice room but poor situation. Had to park in street for first night.

Superbly comfortable Guest House in great location

The welcome from the Staff was excellent and that experience continued - they simply couldn't do enough to make us comfortable. Fruit, biscuits and even a small carafe of Port in the room; a breakfast that we'll struggle to beat anywhere; and additional meals (when requested) superbly cooked and served. Even a picnic (in a cool bag) was suggested by the Staff for our day in Kirstenbosch gardens, which made a wonderful day even better. If we had questions about anything - directions, the best time to visit places, etc - the Staff took time to research and provide very helpful answers. The location of Wild Olive was brilliant from our perspective, a short drive to Cape Town's V & A and easy access to the False Bay coast, and the Airport, with Kirstenbosch just minutes away. The garden was a place to relax with good seats/sunloungers, a shady Gazebo with comfortable sofas/cushions, and a good swimming pool - sadly, access was limited to early or later in the day due to the water shortage, but even the water shortage was well managed with very little inconvience. We simply can't rate the Wild Olive highly enough.

Lovely guesthouse with great access to Cape

The Wild Olive Guest House is well appointed, with delicious breakfasts, comfortable rooms, lounge, and garden area. Everything about this classic, old house is welcoming. The owners are very friendly and helpful. We stayed over the holidays and the rooms had fresh stocks of homemade holiday cookies and chocolates everyday - a very nice touch. Will definitely stay here next time in the Cape.
