Amazing Stellenbosch Value!

Very quiet location with great access to everything. It was very comfortable and relaxing. I recommend this property to those who are value conscious and appreciate the simple things in life.

Location was good close to shops. Not near downtown need to uber to go places but the price was right. Room was fine could use some updating. No AC which is Africa. The safe didn’t work and even though I asked several times to have it repaired or switched out it wasn’t. Big disappointment. As ones belonging should be able to be kept safe.

The kitchen had this terrible stench - turned out the kitchen sink tubes were leaking odours into the kitchen. Although it was “my kitchen” people helped themselves to stuff. Bedroom was very basic, dated furniture, etc. it was cheap but yeah - I guess one gets what one pays for. And one more thing - when I got there at the main address (there are two guesthouses) nobody opened the gate for some time. I had to get the help of another tourist and when I finally made it to reception the excuses were very poor.

Huge Misrepresentation!

Extremely didappointing. We made a reservation with Magnoliaplace guesthouse, where we have stayed before. Although we received confirmation for staying in the Magnolia Place guesthouse, with picture confirming, we were told on arrival, that we had to drive to the block behind the guest house to stay in the 'Annex'. Not at all what we expectednor paid for. Sub-standard compared to Magnolia in various regards. Why not just tell us when we make the booking? All we could get out them, is a mere "very much sorry". So, from my side as well, very much sorry! I hope my post help other people to make sure beforehand that they will get what they thought would.

Disappointed

I booked at Magnolia Place but was escorted to another place. Old woman were sitting smoking on the stoep and everthing smell like smoke. Overall it looked like an old place with old furniture and decor. The tv has a glare and cannot be adjusted.

Zentral gelegenes Gasthaus in Stellenbosch

Das Guest House liegt in einem ruhigen Quartier fast in Laufdistanz zum Zentrum von Stellenbosch. Schöne Anlage mit wenig Umschwung aber viel Privatsphäre für jedes Zimmer. Zimmer gross, Küche ist da, haben wir aber nicht gebraucht. Service nett, Wifi instabil.

A good stay

I felt like it was a really good stay. My boyfriend mentioned that we should go to Magnolia specifically again only after an hour of just settling into the room and talking to Paul, the man who welcomed us. We didn't really get to be outside much during the night, because of the rain, but that just made us want to come back and stay longer to experience everything we missed out on. We didn't have a car at the time, but walking around was not a problem. The neighbourhood is nice and the stores were close by. We will definitely visit again sometime in the future.
