Hotel is in a new upscale marina area with lovely view. Very quiet and secure with an entrance in lobby allowing you to walk straight to probably the nicest mall in Cancun with many nice restaurants.

Absolutely perfect location. Safe located in a convenient area. Close to a beautiful beach that also contains two beach clubs. Loved the fact that they had free bikes, assessable to hotel guest. I had the top floor corner suite. Amazing views great breakfast. I also loved the fact that it’s connected to a shopping plaza with tons of restaurant options and even a hookah lounge. The area is my kind of area, safe and quiet away from all the nonsense from the strip but close enough that if you want to take an Uber it’s approximately 5 to 6 US dollars. hotel staff were really nice. Only issue I had was once with a front desk receptionist where he refused to give me a beach club pass stating that, they were at capacity. I ended up going with another hotel guest who was a friend of mine and literally barely anyone was there. Not sure what his issue was but I found that very strange and odd. I was upset at first, but brushed it off and enjoyed my stay.

Cancun Property. I will say it is a nice property we stayed here back in September 2023 and it was a whole lot cleaner. The shower seemed to have mold and both shower headed didn’t seem to have been cleaned at all. Also dont select beach view if you don’t want to see the beach. This resort doesn’t not offer any type of beach view. When I checked in I immediately addressed this issue because I feel like it is deceitful. They don’t have pictures from this view at all just the marina. When I was here back in September 2023 I had the marina view. So I called when I checked in and they stated they would take care of it tomorrow because they are currently full and I was understandable. The next day I go downstairs to speak about the false advertisement of this room and to move rooms to the marina view was $60 extra dollars a night or stay where I’m at so that I can see builds and construction. I ended up paying a $120 extra to move for 2 night and had to sign an upsell slip which just seemed out to me. No type of customer service in this situation. I will say Karen was extremely helpful when I needed to switch reservations.

Renaissance Hotel knows how to deliver excellent service! The location of this hotel is perfect for those who want to get away from the Loud & crazy scene of the other hotel zones. We always saw pilots and crew members check in at this hotel because they surely are also looking for a tranquil place to rest. And it reallyyy is. Our balcony view every morning of the Marina was Breathtaking. Let me suggest to also include the Breakfast Buffet , it will not disappoint. The breakfast is from their Hotel Restaurant called “Kaajal.” If you look on the Trip Advisor app, you’ll notice this restaurant received a Medal Badge for amazing food. Restaurants get this only if customers constantly give awesome ratings. And “Kaajal” restaurant is recognized for great ratings by customers. No wonder we enjoyed the breakfast! We felt like we were in Paradise! Let me get straight to the point. The day I arrived back home from my trip, I was already looking to see when I can come back to this same Hotel. And that’s how you know you had an Awesome experience. Thankyou!! ~book this Hotel with it’s breakfast buffet, it won’t disappoint

The property was beautiful, clean and welcoming. Hotel is attached to shopping mall and restaurants. Our room had harbor views which were great. The gym was nice for morning workouts. The hotel breakfast was extremely expensive whether you had the buffet or from the menu. We did not plan on $40 breakfast each day. Overall wonderful expensive

To many lights in devices on the ceiling of the room. Made it hard to sleep unless you covered your eyes. You could hear the chairs from rooms above and next door sliding on the floor. Put small pads on each leg of the chairs to stop the sliding noise at all hours.

I struggled to select a great property in Cancun for weeks…EXCELLENT choice. Of course the rooms face the lagoon. The location is awesome. Puerto Cancún has everything and the Renaissance is a premier property right in the midst. No car needed. Took buses to the entertainment areas, ferries, water sports, all you need for a fabulous vacation is just down the road. While we’re up and down the strip everyday…and we were very very glad we chose the Renaissance… professional staff, responsive, engaged and the views are spectacular!! Would absolutely recommend!!

We left after the first night. It’s clean and lovely. It’s also very noisy at night with so many outside venues playing loud music it was just noise…you couldn’t even pic out a song you were hearing. The room was tiny. The pool and hot tub(?) were both cold and the pool tiny. The restaurant was expensive. If you don’t mind any of that it’s nice. The staff was nice and it’s a nice clean newer looking place.

The resort is great and there are a variety of eateries and shopping on the premise. If you're looking for a one stop location, the Renaissance is ideal! However, if you are seeking alternate dining or experiences most other locations are about 15-20 min ride away. If you're staying 4 or more days you'll probably want to visit off premise locations to take in more scenes.

Renaissance Cancún is unaccommodating
We checked out one day early and basically already paid one additional day for two rooms, which come with breakfast for 4. We simply asked to have breakfast one day early and the hotel manager refused to accommodate. That’s really stingy and unaccommodating, not worthy of a four-star establishment.
