"There aren't really any minus points here at all. One small one for me was my disability so the sofa area was a bit low for me but this place (and I'm always reluctant to let everyone know when I find a diamond place to stay) was otherwise perfect. Obviously big enough for a family of four as the second bedroom has bunk beds . Nice little bit of front patio and table and outside table and chairs already there for you. "Stunning house in a lovely area! The bedrooms were roomy and comfortable each with a bathroom. Living spaces were a good size and nicely furnished. The communication before from Stef and Nikki was exceptional and we were provided with lots of info to make our stay more enjoyable. Hot tub overlooking the river was a nice touch. "First thing we saw on entering the room were several quite big green (ink?) stains on the carpet. A lovely big bed but only 2 small pillows, so had to ask for more. The room was very hot and although we found a fan it didn’t get below 26 degrees the 3 nights we were there, outside not over 22 degrees in the day! We went to the Restaurant our first night and waited 30 mins for a drink. The food was not good and loud party of golfers drove us to the bar. Not much better so took wine to our room. Ate in the room next 2 nights. I booked this hotel because I wanted a pool etc. the jacuzzi was broken and the steam room was also out of action, and with swimming lessons for about 20 kids relaxing it wasn’t!!! On our last night a member of staff, Matilda, hunted and found us another fan. She was the only one to really help. There are often functions (one every night we were there) which are very loud and go on until 1 a.m.!! So all in all not impressed and definitely not 4* for us."

"The motion light for getting to the ground floor rooms was slow to come on, and a couple of times I stumbled to get to the room. Maybe the addition of a 'night light' in that stretch of hallway? Thank you to the staff member who discovered the I had left my wallet behind, and held it in after. I was still jet-lagged, and very traumatized about it, missed a prepaid train journey...but everything turned out ok in the end."
