However our room was next to the elevator and it was extremely loud and I could even hear the dings from inside my room. We only stayed one night but if you didn’t stay in that room I’m sure the stay would have been lovely"

"There was hair in our bathroom when we walked in. Several strands on the floor, in the bathtub and on our towels. Also, the water turned off in the middle of the night and no one informed us of any scheduled off time during check in. I wouldn’t stay here again. "

"Stayed at Hotel Carmel for two nights and had a great experience overall. The location is excellent — only a few minutes’ walk to the Santa Monica Pier and beach. There are also plenty of shops, restaurants, and cafes nearby, so everything you need is within easy walking distance. The hotel itself is older, but it was clean and well maintained. The bed was comfortable, which made for a good night’s sleep after busy days exploring the area. Overall, no complaints at all. If you’re looking for a clean, comfortable place in a fantastic location, Hotel Carmel is a great choice."
