"This stay provided exactly what my husband and I needed for our time here. It was nestled in the community and did not feel very touristy. Everyone we met was kind, especially when you greet them. It was walking distance from markets, malls, etc., including Pelican Shopping Mall, Port Zante, and Independence Square, and Basseterre Public Market. Not to mention the water right outside of the hotel and supermarket beneath the hotel for quick buys. The Colosseum is also walking distance from...

"The hotel is isolated from the happenings on the island. I was told that the hotel was fully booked but there were no other cars onsite besides my rental. There was no one available for common questions and the gate was closed by 5pm. This was a manual gate which is fine but the lightening was bad on the exterior of the property making it difficult to see when returning after dark. "Excellent stay at Sugar Bay! The staff were all pleasant, welcoming , and accommodating.. The location is ideal, being located in walking distance to restaurants, the market, and the strip. Our room was cleaned nicely each day and the pool area was well maintained. Would definitely stay again. One recommendation: check to see if it’s seaweed season… other than that everything was top tier !"
