"I stayed in the women’s-only Dormitory A and had a wonderful experience overall. My dorm mates were all incredibly kind, and I even made a lovely new friend during my stay. It was such a unique experience meeting people from different parts of the world, and I'm so glad this was my first hostel experience. One area that could be improved is the check-in process. "Beautiful lodge in the mountain forest with beautiful landscaping around the individual cottages along a hill. Delicious food and very friendly staff. The perfect location for birdwatching, particularly the Resplendent Quetzal. Hence we saw one male, a female and a juvenile quetzal for about 30 minutes during the special quetzal tour in the morning, in addition to a male quetzal right at the lodge and another one that I could film along the nature trail of the lodge."

I preferred walking the paths at the top of the mountain having ridden to those trail heads. "Es un excelente punto para ir a descansar en pareja, y hacer rutas donde vimos hongos preciosos, flora y el río bellísimo. Además cerca hay restaurantes y viveros muy buenos. En la habitación, tal vez lo que hace falta son más alfombras o una grande. Otra cosa importante para los turistas es si hay adultos mayores o alguna discapacidad que pidan hospedaje cerca de la recepción."

"Location was perfect for spotting birds and doing short (10-30 minutes) drives to other good birding locations. We booked the room with balcony. The room was clean and the bed was good. Patrica is the lady that manages everything. She also cooked great meals for us. So please order the lunch and dinner also there. We are very happy and enjoyed our stay. Definitely recommended!"
