"This stay at Blackthorn went above and beyond what I needed - some time and space for myself to write. In the comfort and peace of this hut in this location, I was able to write nearly 10,000 words, unheard of in my everyday busy life at home! "Lovely property - stayed in Tailors which has a pretty private garden. Very clean and well appointed. Fantastic position for the village and eateries. Pauline and David are great hosts. Highly recommend and would definitely stay there again :)"

"Lovely, modern boutique hotel centrally located. Opted to include breakfast and it did not disappoint. Also some nice touches in the room such as complementary still and flavoured waters in the fridge and a large chocolate bar. Only drawback was the lack of parking. Nearest car park was 15 minutes away and about £40 for 24 hours of parking. The staff were helpful as they have to bring a trolley to the nearest area available to stop the car for loading our luggage. Also, I realized later we were supposed to enjoy the benefits of a VIP upgrade but we never received anything (and I booked two rooms) but I happen to overhear the couple in front of me who were given a free upgrade to a suite - so not sure what happened. Nonetheless it was a very nice hotel and I would stay there again. "
