The history of the villa is incredible and even more interesting that it is still with the original family. A huge sense of pride and passion is palpable from the current owners. "The bed and pillows were too soft for my liking, but that's a personal preference. The junior suite was spacious and comfortable and the shower was good. The gardens are gorgeous and the perfect place to sit for a drink or a quiet (bring your own) lunch or dinner. Breakfast was good, you won't go hungry and Matteo will make your coffee how ever you like it."

"Fabulous little hotel, very clean and comfy bed. There was a kitchen for making tea and coffee which was supplied also crackers and biscuits available to help yourself to. A craft of wine in the room on arrival, which was a nice touch. We had a little veranda to sit out on. Great clear instructions on how to use the key safe on arrival. Owner also ordered our taxi for going back to the airport. Would highly recommend."

"Galicano es un sitio bellísimo y el Airbnb es divino y muy cómodo. El único consejo para la propietaria es de poner unos dispensadores de jabón en la ducha o sl menos una repisa para dejar el jabón o el gel. Y algún espejo grande en la habitación "

"The rooms were very spacious and clean and the beds were vety comfortable. Everybody was so kind and helpful and the breakfast was delicious. My only regret was not being able to stay another night as we were traveling to Assisi the next day. The locat to Lucca was also perfect and tge drive into the walled city was less than two minutes. I can't say enough great things about our hostess and her mom. They we absolutely sweet and wonderful people. The next time, I will use La Chiuso Delle Monache...
